for starters, the people keep re-electing this fuckwit...
The people - the druggo's on the beach, and the yobbo's in the bush; the copycats; our sporting losers, fucktards and arseholes; the volunteers who only volunteer to get money from Cunterlink (Centerlink); the spirit of dividing in hard times, and having the 'fuck it' attitude. thinking it's everyone else's problem and not their own; the eminent Australians from one walk of life, the battlers who resent the rest of our nation for not helping, and the ordinary Australians that are just that. ordinary. we are the Copycat Nation - the nation that is not happy, so we copy traits from other countries.
Our land - fragile yet enduring. Harsh and extreme, lush and bountiful - a continent like no other. and yes, we keep telling ourselves this because we are 'individuals'. our ancient land offers boundless opportunities.....until all the rainforests, bushland and countryside is bulldozed and developed with massive shopping malls in the middle of nowhere. our land makes us what we are - just like every other country. except we harvest people with those fucking yobbo accents.
Our diversity - a natation of difference and lack of unity. the stuck-ups from the city, and country that compete who is better. different nations and backgrounds that like to exclude themselves from the rest; we are many people, living apart. through Australia's one-sided beliefs, we put down other cultures just as the other cultures put us down. by this rate we will never learn anything, and continue to grow apart. making Australia a million countries in one.
The indigenous cultures - the rich and resilient spirituality; the knowledge, art and history. Aboriginal and Torris Strait Islander people are part of Australia's identity and culture, but don't like anyone else to be.
The freedom and democracy - a society that claims to be built on fundamental rights and responsibilities. freedom of thought and expression only if it's law abiding and good. no matter how much we say we all have freedom of speech, different cultures seem to have higher levels of it.
A fair go for all - our country likes to think we are fair and pulls together to better help one another. but with the amount of laws, taxes and everything else the government has passed, you can barely even piss and shit without paying for it. our land is a land of very little opportunity, where whatever the government says, goes.
